Heat stress and performance; a matter of balance
Heat stress in animals causes a shift in blood pH that suppresses feed intake. Of course this is bad news for the animal’s performance, so optimizing the dietary electrolyte balance (dEB) is often used as a tool to manage the blood pH. The product most often used for this is sodium bicarbonate. We believe that sodium formate is equally effective at managing the dEB of feed. Last August we put this theory to the test.>>

After a few years of R&D Perstorp is now revealing its latest breakthrough in the area of mould inhibition: ProSidTM MI 700. The effectiveness of propionic acid in preservation of grain and other feed is very well known. ProSidTM MI 700 has shown the same effectiveness as propionic acid but with several key advantages such as lower evaporation, high nutritional value, reduced odour and no ADR restriction because of its low corrosiveness and high flash point. >>

Vapi - a new feed additives production facility
In the beginning of 2010 it became clear that Perstorp had the opportunity to re-shape their existing plant in Vapi, India into a facility that produces high quality feed additives.
