Could you please introduce yourself? My name is Josep M Gomá, I have a University degree as Veterinarian and I'm responsible for Albio Ferm S.L., which is a distribution company dealing mainly in Spain, based near Barcelona.
Where have you worked before joining Albio? For 30 years I have been working for different companies, both national and multinational, in the field of animal production. This includes nearly 3 years of exciting and challenging professional experience in South-America (Venezuela and Brazil). |
What do you like about your job?
To build both personal and commercial relationships with the main customers and opinion leaders in our market, furthermore helping them to fulfil their needs in order to improve their production results.
What kind of goals do you want to achieve with Perstorp and within Albio?
Taking into account we are dealing in a mature market with plenty of acid blends suppliers, we are aiming to put together technical background and quality products from Perstorp and market knowledge and manpower from Albio Ferm in order to become preferred acid's supplier in our Country.
Could you tell us something about the industry and your view on it? How come Albio is so successful in selling PH and BD?
Natural and effective antibacterial products are a growing segment in the market. ProPhorce® BD and PH are having very good results in the field. On top of that their launching has coincided with new EU regulations about bacterial control. All these facts together with Perstorp's support by F. Beaujean and J. M. Ros have encouraged our sales team to reach such good results.
How do you see the future of the industry you're in?
We are living hard times nowadays which are leading to market concentration. That is forcing us to be alert in order to adapt our company to changes
What type of feed additive do you think has great potential for the future and why?
Considering such restrictive EU policy, development of natural and effective antibacterial products and files to support them will be a key success factor in the next future.
Do you have a question for the next person we will interview for this newsletter? If so, why did you choose this question?
We are sure about many projects and tasks are run in a large group as Perstorp Performance Additives. We as sales people are willing to have new tools to support our job. Are there any specific actions for your findings or achievements to be translated into sales tools?
Is there anything else you would like to mention in this interview?
Perstorp meeting in Stenungsund was very interesting and we believe there would be more of them. Besides this, our visit to Perstorp sites in Sweden with our customers has been a great success.
